On Friday night Miss Andersen organised a sleepover for the year 6 to 8 students who were doing the 20 hour famine. We started the famine after eating our lunch and went through to 8am. 19 students stayed over including 2 of Miss Andersen's nieces. We ate a lot of barley sugars and drank gallons of juice. After school we got to have free time on the ipads, which we never get. It was a lot of fun playing around with them. We played a lot of games too in the dark. Sardines was a favourite and Miss Andersen actually got to be a sardine by finding the people early. We also played go home stay home in the dark. Before it got dark Miss Andersen told us that our dinner was on the playground and she had made a barley sugar hunt for us. The last activity we did outside was night orienteering, Mr Moyle had made clues and we had to figure out the clues to find the letters around the school. When we found the letters we had to unscramble them to find out the message. The message said I AM SO HUNGRY! Ha ha ha Mr Moyle. When we all came inside we got ready for bed and Miss Andersen put Madagascar 3: Escape to Europe on for us on the big screen while we snuggled up in bed. It was really cool. In the morning we were all packed and ready to go home for breakfast by 8am. We hope that we raised a lot of money for the people in Bouganville. Our 20 hour famine sleepover was a lot of fun and I hope we can do it again next year.
The 20 hour sleep over was really FUN Thanks Miss.A for organising :)
